Every now and then I hear voices in the fabric store. You know, little whispers that say...Buy me! Buy me! You need me! You know you do!
So I bought a 1/2 a yard of this gorgeous fabric and then just let it sit on my shelf for several weeks. I knew I'd probably make pillows but this time decided to make them quick and simple. I don't usually do quick and simple. I tend to revel in details. But this time I resisted and went the easy route and made three pillows, one for each of my girls.
Using the turquoise roses for the front I paired it with a turquoise crinkle fabric on the back side. I just loved the way they turned out.
Liking the results so much I decided to forgo quick and simple, punch up the cuteness factor and make a few more. This time adding a double organza ruffle on each end of a 14x20 pillow.
Be sure to stop back by later today...
These turquoise double organza ruffled pillows will soon be for sale in the Shop along with a few more new items!
This fabric is called Kensington in the color Pool. It comes in several other colors as well. If local to the OKC area you can find it at Fabric Direct or Vu's Fabrics. You can also purchase it through Fabric Direct via phone or email.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one with those voices in my head, Sonya! : ) This is a fabric?!? I wish I knew they made this - what a great fabric to use to cover a lampshade for that rose covered look! And here I went and glued individually roses to a lampshade when I did mine. Love your pillows!
