I have some pillow fun to share with you today!
Do you remember Peyton's Room?
Jenni, Peyton's mom, wanted to add a few more pillows to Peyton's room and include some additional colors like an aqua/turquoise and a gorgeous orangy silk with hot pink dots, which she had fallen in love with.
With the fabrics & trims Jenni had chosen, we decided to make the 26x26 euro using this graphic aqua print, added a 5-6" ruffle out of the orange dot and finished it off with a white ribbon fringe.
The bolster was pieced together using a bold pink zebra, the orange dot, a turquoise ribbon fringe...
and finished on the ends with a black & white check ruffle (to tie into other elements in the room) and the aqua print.
(Take a look HERE to see instructions on making your own neckroll/bolster pillow)
Using a white, pre-ruffled fabric, I made a simple 20x25 pillow cover and then jazzed it up a bit with a "flower" made from several different elements.
The black check pillow you see tucked in behind was one I'd previously made for the room. Take a look at Peyton's Room to see more of the details of this adorable bedroom.

Sonya, If I change my name to Peyton, do you think I could get a pillow? I have such pillow love, and these are one-of-a-kind gorgeous! What talent.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the creativity!

That Peyton is one lucky little girlie!!! You know I am a fanatical fan of your pillows and those are just precious!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Sonya! Love that orange fabric and I don't usually go for orange. It does look really good with the turquoise though. I've saved your bolster tutorial to do two huge ones I have that I used on the twin daybed I had in our old house. Not sure if I will use them in my house or if my daughter wants them for the daybed, which she took for her house.
ReplyDeleteSonya,
ReplyDeletethese are adorable and perfect for her room. I love the ruffled one with the checked rosette.
