Today, I'm giving you a glimpse of a beautiful
Master Bedroom.
This is Judy and Jim's master bedroom.
I met Judy through a mutual friend. She was interested in having
custom window treatments made for her home!
As it so often happens, this sweet lady quickly moved from
client to friend as we worked together to add warmth and
color to her new home.
Judy found this amazing silk plaid and knew immediately
this was the fabric for her master bedroom. The panels are
hung from wooden rods and rings in a "merlot" finish.
You'll recognize the style from
We were working with Judy's existing monochromatic bedding.
She wanted to add a splash of color to the otherwise
neutral color scheme.
She has this beautiful mirrored armoire along with an
upholstered chaise across from her bed.
To add a little more color, we made a 26" euro pillow
with a coordinating, green silk, gathered ruffled detail...
and a bolster style pillow.
I love the sweet detail on this pillow.
This is a small 1" flange with gathered corners.
There is also a small gather in the center of the bolster.
So sweet!
We carried the same fabric and theme of window treatment
into the master bath with this valance.
Here the gathered "poof" is attached a few inches down from
the top of the treatment giving it a slightly different look.
I am always amazed and thrilled at the transformation
in a space with the addition of window treatments.
As much as we all love our natural light...
Adding window treatments can bring a whole new
level of warmth and charm to any room in your home!
Wishing you all a Very Blessed Day!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful curtains and pillows (and room). Window treatments really make a house a home!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Sonya, and no one says to cover the window entirely up with a window treatment. I just look to soften a window when I suggest window treatments. If privacy is an issue, I will normally suggest shades of some kind {roman, cellular, etc}, but just to add some softness to the hard edges of windows, I suggest stationery panels; sometimes a valance {especially if you want to tie two rooms together like you did here, but do something a little different}.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful window treatments and bedroom! Love the fabric.
ReplyDeleteso pretty! Are there directions for making these curtains anywhere? Thanks for the inspiration! Suzie
ReplyDeleteI love them! But, then again, I just posted plaid curtains as well so I'm a bit biased! :-) You did a great job adding color to the space and everything is gorgeous!
