A Twist on Your Valentine Decor

Have you ever looked at holiday decor and wondered what else you could do with it? I do this all the time. Especially when I come across great after-holiday sales.
My friend, Angel, took this idea and carried her Christmas straight into February! Angel told me, the past Christmas she was very late in getting her house decorated for the holidays.  She decided, after all that work, she didn't want to take it down so soon so...

...she decided to turn her Christmas Tree into a Valentine Tree! Why not?
So with a bit of tweaking, some strategic Valentine's decor, a few after holiday purchases and...Voila! A Valentine Tree!
She even incorporated some fun winter accessories.
Is this not the best color combination? Turquoise, red, white, pink, lime green and purple? I love it!
At the front door you're greeted by a garden statue Cupid, perched atop a turquoise bird bath and all decked out for Valentine's.

Makes you think a bit outside the box when packing away your Christmas decor, doesn't it?
And just in case you're wondering...
there's lots more coming soon from this gorgeous home!

  2. Very creative, although this seems like just as much work as putting the Christmas decorations away, :).

  3. Very fun tree. My green tree is too big and green to stay out for Valentine's day. I pack that thing away on the 26th every year! I do like her little colorful one and it seems she has plenty of room to keep it out. Can't wait to see more of her home. I bet she has some cool window treatments in that house made by a certain someone. You know how I feel about brick walls....love her brick.

  4. That is a cute idea. You have to have a fake tree though...mine would be a twig tree by this point!

  6. Awesome! I bought a little pink tree for my mom several years ago and she just gave it back to me to use and now I know what I'm going to do with! Thanks for the inspiration!

  7. WOW! Really awesome.. I haven't even started my Valentine decor. I took the box out of the attic two weeks ago but just haven't been motivated. I think I may just do that today :)

  11. Thats a fun tree Sonya! I use to have a tree that staid up all year. It was a little four ft tree in an urn. She would get decorated for all the season and The Hubster HATED her! I finally gave into peer pressure and took her down when my husbands friends wife came to the house and said "Oh your decorating early?".

  13. Aack! I see what you mean with this friend's house. I'm seriously swooning over her pink tufted bench/coffee table. Maybe I better steer clear of any further photos of Angel's home!
