I hope you are all enjoying the wedding photos. I'll be posting details more about the decor a little later. It was just such a special day and so many of you have asked for more pics so here we are!
When Courtney and Drew asked my baby brother, Matt, if he would marry them, he was overwhelmed. It was to be his first wedding! Matt was 11 years old when Courtney was born and they have always been close. It was such a blessing to have him officiate their marriage. So special and personal.
There were 8 Bridesmaids, 2 Jr. Bridesmaids and 10 Groomsmen. Each bridesmaid carried a simple bouquet of baby's breath, tied with lace. One of the most special moments of the ceremony was the family prayer.
Each member of Courtney and Drew's immediate families, along with grandparents, came forward to join together in prayer for the couple. So very special. (Photo by Lauren)

All the wedding festivities were held at the home and property of long time, family friends. We are forever grateful and thankful for their generosity in allowing us to basically take over their home for several days! Their collection of vintage cars was a huge hit among all the wedding guest and they even allowed Courtney and Drew to drive away in this amazingly loud, powerful, fully restored, vintage muscle car!
Again, a special thanks to Clayton Austin for his amazing photography. And to Lauren, Drew's precious, 14 yr old cousin, for the additional pictures.

ReplyDeleteSonya, this has to be one of the coolest weddings I have ever seen! Sophisticated...chic...personal...all of the touches of history and the honoring of heritage and family. You guys did an amazing job and that family prayer pic almost made me cry! Certainly something you don't see at a lot of weddings today. I am so enjoying all of these photos and can't wait to see some more! :-)
