Is this not gorgeous?
Today I'm sharing the new window treatments in my friend Tricia's kitchen but I had to start with a pic of this gorgeous buffet! Tricia has such an eye for accessories. And if you look close you can see a glimpse of her new window treatments in the mirror. See?
Like me, Tricia loves long panels. And due to the width of the window we knew we wanted to keep some sort of treatment along the top. The goal was to bring in the new brighter colors she wanted to use as well as keep an element of fun and whimsy in the design.
Tricia found this great black hexagon print that we used as the floor length panels paired with a bright fuschia ruffle along the top edge.
Mounted on a board and hung under the panels is a stationary relaxed roman shade made from a stunning green tone-on-tone paisley. We paired the green paisley with a gathered ruffle of pink leopard along the bottom edge and topped it with a black, green and pink tassel fringe.
The before...
and another glance at the after!
Simply Stunning!
I love how Tricia was not afraid to go bold with her fabric choices and design. For practical reasons, long panels may not always be an option in the kitchen. But if you're willing to take a chance and try...
just think of all the dramatic possibilities!
Take a look at another Window Treatment from Tricia's beautiful home.

*I guess for a woman it should be 'mistress' but that doesn't sound quite right. ;)
And why the HELL should MEN only be called "Masters" of something? So, to continue with my calling you that, to me you are THE MASTER of Ruffles. :)
