You can't tell by looking at these window treatments but they've been repurposed a few times. Originally they were simple, cream colored silk panels.
Ann decided she wanted to spruce them up a bit so we added the attached valance out of this gorgeous brown and cream damask complete with chocolate brown velvet ruffle and a ribbon brush fringe. If you look close, you can see the green silk we used to line the top back of the panels. I love seeing that peek of color.
If these fabrics look familiar it's because they were the jumping off point for the neckroll pillow I shared with you a few weeks ago.
I decided to "stage" these panels in my own bedroom in order to get a photo. Due to the fact that they're swinging about 18" off the floor you only get to see the top portion!
But that's the most important part anyway!
and now...

ReplyDeleteYou are so creative with all of the additions, repurposing, etc. I cannot for the life of me see green lining. It's behind the damask, right?
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty color palette! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteDashing window treatment, dear. I fell in love with it. I wanna see the original one, though. This also inspired me to give my window a major treatment.
