These pillows are my new favorites! I love this color combination.
Turquoise, red, brown, green....damask, leopard, dots, paisley...
All of these colors and patterns came together beautifully to create a new collection of pillows for April (a reader of Beyond the Screen Door) and her family.
April had seen a collection of pillows I shared HERE and fell in love with this damask. We started off her pillow collection by making two similar 27" pillows out of the same fabric.
Here a larger green ruffle is fronted by a smaller flange with a sweet ruffle detail at each corner.
Two 22" pillows, made from a brown, red and turquoise fabric surrounded by a solid turquoise flange and backed with a red and gold dot, were added next.
Two 20"x25" pillows were made from a red leopard on the front, solid turquoise for the back, a ruffle on each end made from a brown crinkle fabric and finished with a multi-colored brush fringe.
But my absolute favorite is this one!
I love making this style of accent pillow. The center paisley fabric was the jumping off point for the entire pillow collection. This particular pillow is approximately 20"x28" and uses 5 fabrics and two trims.
I have to admit I fell in love with these pillows!
What do you think?
Is this a color combination you could use?

These are great!! :) I am trying to slowly do my kitchen in teal/turquoise & red. These pillows would be useless in my kitchen...haha but they are so beautiful! I love the colors! & the pillows are so high glam!
ReplyDeleteLOVE them!! The color combo is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLuscious! I love your introduction of that frosty blue with all of that pattern, well done! Definitely gonna place an order one of these days. :)
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty. Love the colors and the lush fabrics. Hugs, Marty

I love those, and the color combination!! Beautiful workmanship!
ReplyDeleteI love the pillows and the combination of colors! I would love to bring some turquoise into my house, but then I'd have to repaint and buy all new upholstered furniture and bedding.
ReplyDeleteSigh.
OMGosh- Those are beautiful! I LOVE them. They are a little more colorful than I usually put in my own home but I am in love with them. She must be just over-the-moon with those! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh those are amazing! I love the color combination.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I would DEFINITELY use that color combo..it's a favorite. Plus, the fabric patterns are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pillows! I've purchased SO much fabric to make my own pillows for my couch...sometimes I just need to "think outside the box" a little more! Gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics!
ReplyDeleteThose are my new favorite pillows too! Totally awesome!
ReplyDeleteYour pillows are beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteHowever, the colors would not go in my decor. I'm more of a jewel-toned girl with rich burgundy, mossy greens and off whites with touches of blue and gold. Okay...I know those sound like the colors you have here...but I guess I'm a bit more traditional and not so opulent. I'd love to see the same designs in cream on cream...but they still might be just a bit too fancy for my dressy and traditional living room.
Beautiful! Love the little dots on the ruffles!
ReplyDeleteWow ... they are beyond stunning! Not just the colors (although the colors are key) but also the depth and texture of the fabrics. Loving 'em.
ReplyDeleteThanks ~ Mary @ SeaQuilts
They are absolutely stunning Sonya! You are a master at mixing fabrics to make the most gorgeous eye candy, whether is is draperies, pillows, runners....doesn't matter....you are truly gifted my friend.
ReplyDeleteJust Beautiful!
Lou Cinda :)
Sonja, I'm just drooling here! These pillows are knock down gorgeous...and yes, the colors I could use too. You did a simply wonderful job on them, as usual, and I just adore them.

Lovely combination! I never would have thought to put teal and red with brown. I want to re-do my bedroom (currently red/green/gold a la 1999), but I don't want to retire the dark red curtains. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI, too, am just in love with these pillows! Every one of them!! They are just beautiful! The combination of colors is perfect! They would look just amazing in my great room!!! :-))
ReplyDeleteSonya, The combination of colors and fabric is beautiful! Thank you for linking to the Open House Party and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
