New Teen Bedroom Part 2

  Procrastinators? Are you out there?

I generally don't consider myself a procrastinator.
But if you combine that
with a "teeny-tiny" bit of a perfectionist tendency
it translates to procrastination!

And in this case
I just kept putting off writing this post!!!

First of all, due to computer issues...
I'm having to work from a different computer.

You know the obstacles...
Pictures are on the other computer...
Photo softwear is on the other computer...

BUT, I'M SO THANKFUL TO HAVE ONE
I'M NOT COMPLAINING!!!

And on top of that
 the room really isn't finished.

There's a bunch of small details like cord covers
and pictures that still aren't on the walls.

I know, you're thinking ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

And technically (at least in my mind), until I've cleaned up
the mess that's still out in the hall
of all the things we didn't move back into the room...
I really can't say I'm finished!

But then again,
when is any project really finished!

The great thing about this makeover
is the fact that we didn't buy anything new!

All her bedding and window treatments
are the same as before!

We chose the yellow paint on purpose so we could give the room
a fresh "NEW" look without having to replace anything!

See, remember this LAMP and ARTWORK from these posts?

This table, which I picked up at a garage sale for $7.50...

(and looked like this in it's previous life)

...had already been painted this robin's eggy blue color
and just waiting for the right client.
(Sorry, no name for the paint color.  It was a couple of old
cans I mixed together to get this!)

My daughter decided she was the right client!

So after picking out a knob from Anthropologie...
(WHICH COST MORE THAN THE TABLE!!!)

 Voila! The perfect nightstand!

And since hanging chandeliers is out of the question
when everyone in my family sleeps with ceiling fans...

I Chandelier-ized  her ceiling fan
with very inexpensive Christmas ornaments
I picked up from Hobby Lobby a few years ago.

The pink one in the center is a magnetic crystal pendant.
The ornaments are just hung on the screws to the light fixture!

THIS is a sneak peak at an art project hanging in her bedroom
that I'll share with you later!

So finished or not...
we are very happy with this great bedroom!

Hope you enjoyed the tour!

As always,
Have a Wonderfully Blessed Day!

I know I have!

  6. This is beautiful, Sonya! I love the colors you've used ~ makes for such a happy room, I think. The artwork and table are great. It's funny how some of the nicest colors come from mixing two cans of left-overs together! : ) I tried using my crystals on my ceiling fan and there are NO screws on the light fixtures for me to hang them from! I couldn't believe it. So, it's a plain ceiling fan with light fixture still {until I figure something out}.

  7. Oh, Sonya, I just love everything in here! My favorites - the fabric around the window seat, the gorgeous mirror, and the dangles on the fan. I'm so checking into doing that! I think your family needs to come to FL for a vacation so we can hang out and shop, etc.
