"Boys will be boys." Well, if you're like me, you've said this or thought this at one time or another! Well, today I'd like to show you a couple of really fun boy's bedrooms where our boys can definitely be boys!
My friend, Elizabeth, is a super talented lady with a beautiful, colorful house. (Check it out here and here!) She has decorated two wonderfully fun and creative rooms for her boys. The first one shown here is for her two college age boys.
She has such an eye for creating unique and colorful spaces made especially for boys! Even older boys, who may only come home on the occasional weekend.
Elizabeth loves to go antiquing and finds all sorts of treasures she uses in her boys bedrooms. She even has her own booth in a local antique mall.
I love how she mixes vintage items, family heirlooms and personal items of the boys with fun and funky accessories to make such amazing spaces!
There's something fun to look at everywhere you turn! Aren't these shelves great? Form and Function!
The second boy's bedroom in her home is for the two younger boys. I love how she has used the map to make such a statement on the wall behind the boy's bed!
And here, Elizabeth has displayed the boy's trophies in an old tool caddy she painted red! Now, I know I've shown you this before, but it is such a clever idea I wanted to share it again!
Elizabeth has shown us that our boys spaces can be just as fun, colorful and creative as the spaces we create for our girls!
Thank you, Elizabeth!
Have a Blessed Day!
cute rooms!
ReplyDeleteDear Sonya: Aren't they just the most beautiful 'boy' rooms! I am actually in the process of decorating a new room for my 22 year old son. Great inspiration in this post. Thank you Elizabeth. I'm going to go have a peek at her blog. Have a lovely day.

Those rooms are great. I have 4 boys and decorating for them is a lot harder than it is for girls...nice examples of color and style, with a masculine flair.
ReplyDeleteThose are great boy rooms. I love the map...Jared would have loved that in his room!
ReplyDeleteWhat a jackpot of ideas in these rooms. So, so nice!
ReplyDeleteI just clicked and read Sonya in your tabs. What a beautiful family you have..truly blessed!
ReplyDeleteGreat boys rooms, and being a Mom of two boys, I can appreciate a cute boys room. I really like the shelving above the window sills, I would love my husband to do that in my nine year olds room...we are overwhelmed with LEGOS! ANd you know they can't be touched.
ReplyDeleteSonya,

I love your brave color use and sense of delightful style.

Hi Sonya. How lucky your friend is to be able to decorate her boys' rooms. I love the roman shades and the trophies in the tool box.
ReplyDeletehi sonya, thanks so much for your sweet words about my sassy sparrow pillow - i really appreciate you stopping by!
ReplyDeleteYour friend is very talented, I have never understood why most people do very little with the boys room, these are great.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this! I love the rooms, I have two boys 13 and 11 so it is nice to see posts on boys bedrooms. I also have a 21 daughter and the girly side of me was evident in her room growing up. Wonderful job!!
